Hi! Today, I am going to share about Boost Balm. Here are my thoughts on it.
What is Boost Balm?
At first I pun confused. Is this a moisturizer? Or a primer? Or what?
So actually, it's a skin barrier cream which can acts a s a primer, protects your skin form the chemicals in cosmetics products or free radicals in the air from having direct contact from your skin.
I like the description on the box. It is not a moisturizer and do not have SPF.
So normally, I'll use this after my skincare routine, right after sunscreen. I use this as my makeup primer. Tapi kalau tak pakai makeup pun tak apa, just apply this cream after sunscreen and you're good to go.
The ingredients are also quite good. It does not contains alcohol, fragrance, paraben (although I have no issue with paraben). It contains few oils, alpha arbutin and bearberry exract (can reduce dark spots) and willow bark extract (to reduce acne).
Packaging
It comes in a 20ml unique black packaging with a pump. The shape is kinda unique and fun to hold. I like the pump, it's hygienic and easy to dispense the product. However for me, the size is quite small. 20ml can only last for 2-3 months, depends on how you use it. If you use it everyday, maybe you'll finish it in a month kot. And it's opaque. Means you can't see how much products left. Nanti seronok guna, tiba tiba dah habis :(
Texture
The texture is white creamy texture. It's quite thick but it absorbs quite fast, leaving a smooth finishing and it is not greasy at all. A little goes along the way. You don't need a lot of this product since it may cause pilling. I think half pump is enough to cover the whole face.
Scent
It has this herbal-ish scent, not a fruity or floral scent. This is the kind of scent that I love on my skin. I love the natural and herbal-ish scent skincare and it feels refreshing.
After it absorbs, it leaves a beautiful smooth skin.
It beautifully fills in my pores so my foundation can look smoother and last longer. Overall, I like this product as a primer.
I was also invited to the grand launching of Boost Balm at Parkson KLCC last month.
With Shareezma, the founder of Boost Balm.
That's all. Thanks for reading!
