Althea NEW Milk Peel Cream Mask
Seronok sebenarnya tengok Althea ada product sendiri. Mula mala ada Petal Velvet Powder, and then their Bare Essentials (cleanser, toner, moisturizer), sunscreen and lately, the Milk Peel Cream Mask.
What it claims?
Give your skin a big gulp of hydration with the refreshing peeling powers of Althea's Milk Peel Cream Mask! Containing both AHA and BHA extracts, this gentle but effective exfoliator transforms from a clay to a whipped cream lather, whisking away dead skin cells to prevent flakiness. It’s also formulated with casein protein from milk to revitalize and moisturize the skin. The result is radiantly smooth, healthy skin that's bouncy to the touch!

How to use?
Dampen the skin and apply an even layer onto the skin, massaging till a rich lather forms. Leave on for 30-60 seconds before rinsing away with warm water.

Packaging and design
It comes in a 50ml white plastic bottle with a blue pump dispenser. As usual, I really like all Althea's design, so sleek and cute. This is also a hygienic packaging and travel friendly.
The texture is like a cream clay mask and produce bubbles a few seconds after applied. I've tried a few similar masks like this (for example b.liv Bubbly Bright Oxygenated Mask and LaF Pink Sparkling Pore Pack)

Ingredients
Water (Aqua), Kaolin, Glycerin, Disiloxane, Bentonite, Propanediol, Myristic Acid, Methyl Perfluoroisobutyl Ether, Stearicacid, Methyl Perfluorobutyl Ether, Potassium Hydroxide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Palmitic Acid , Ethylhexylglycerin, Milk Proteinextract, Disodium Edta, Gaultheria Procumbens (Wintergreen) Leaf Extract, Gluconolactone, Glycolic Acid, Titaniumdioxide (Ci 77891), Fragrance (Parfum), Coumarin*, Hexyl Cinnamal*, Citronellol*
There's Gluconolactone in this product which is a PHA (polyhydroxy acid). The function of PHA is almost similar as AHA but the molecules are larger which reduce the ability to penetrate skin, hence, tak rasa pedih sangat for sensitive skin. The AHA used is Glycolic Acid and the BHA is from wintergreen leaf extract. It contains methyl salicylate which is the methyl esther of salicylic acid. Tapi adakah function dia sama macam salicylic acid? I'm not so sure about that. The AHA, BHA and PHA are less than 0.1% which is very mild. If you are a beginner and takut nak try AHA / BHA / PHA, you can try this sebab dia very very mild.

There's few sensitizing ingredients such as potassium hydroxide, fragrance, hexyl cinnamal but it's not leave on and kita bilas lepas 30-60 seconds. Dia tak stay lama dekat atas kulit, so it depends on how your skin react.
My first impression. the fragrance a bit strong. For me, I tak suka fragrance yang bau wangi sangat. I lagi prefer bau biasa. It's easy to wash off because sometimes ada certain clay mask yang susah sangat nak hilangkan sampai kena gosok kuat sikit but this one, senang sangat. So plus point dekat situ. It's not drying although I have dry skin, but quite irritating, rasa gatal gatal gitu. For some people, it's normal. But for me, I prefer yang rasa dia best and calming. So this is totally my personal opinion and preference. Kalau suka fragrance and rasa geli geli kat kulit, it is totally up to you, although I would advise you to be extra careful if you have veryyy sensitive skin since it contains few sensitizing ingredients. I haven't used it long enough to form an opinion but I will update on this later :)
