Essano Regenerating Facial Moisturizer VS Sukin Sensitive Facial Moisturizer

Essano Regenerating Facial Moisturizer VS Sukin Sensitive Facial Moisturizer

It's been a loooong time since I reviewed some products that I bought and tried myself. So today, I am going to make some mini review and comparison between Essano Regenerating Facial Moisturizer and Sukin Sensitive Facial Moisturizer

Why?
Because both have some common ingredients, both have pump packaging and both are a bit expensive for a drugstore brand.

I bought both from Guardian during the Guardian 40% sale. Of course lah beli time sale, time tu paling worth it nak beli, especially products yang mahal.

Essano Regenerating Facial Moisturizer: RM 73.90 for 140ml
Sukin Sensitive Facial Moisturizer: RM39.90 for 125ml

Essano is from New Zealand. It claims to moisturize, condition and regenerate the skin. It is rich in certified organic Rosehip Oil, vitamins and organic Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter. It has no parabens, harsh chemical sulphates, silicones, phthalates, ethoxylates, mineral oils etc.

Sukin is a brand from Australia. Shea butter and aloe vera with rosehip, sesame, jojoba oil to promote moisture and balance the skin. This light and gentle moisturizer, boasts shea butter and aloe vera to calm and soothe the complexion.

Here is the full ingredients for both of the products.

In terms of the texture, I rasa Essano moisturizer is thicker than Sukin moisturizer. Sukin feels lighter and buttery, absorbs nicely into the skin. Essano is a bit thicker and took some time to absorb. However, I personally think both are a thick moisturizer that is suitable for drier skin type or people that spend most of their time in aircond room. Ok je if you have oilier skin type tapi selalu duduk dalam aircond and prefer a heavier moisturizer. It depends on what your skin needs.

Essano moisturizer contains fragrance and lactic acid. Bau fragrance dia tak kuat sangat pun, macam bau natural gitu je. Essano on the other hand, bau macam plastik! It's not a bad thing, since there is no fragrance. So it is suitable for sensitive skin yang tak boleh dengan fragrance. Tapi fragrance dalam Essano pun tak kuat sangat. Ikut lah suka yang mana.

Both are not fungal acne safe since it contains Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil and Rosehip Seed Oil. So if you have fungal acne, you might want to avoid both of this.

I also like that it comes in a pump packaging, with opaque bottle so segala benefit dia tak terdedah dengan matahari, and it is more hygienic in a pump. Macam biasa, I tak minat sangat moisturizer dalam jar so rasa best sangat bila ada moisturizer yang dalam pump packaging. Cuma tu lah, dia macam surprise sikit eh tetiba dah nak habis, susah nak tengok product ada banyak mana yang tinggal.

So, mana yang lagi best?
If you want to try, I would suggest you try the Sukin Sensitive Facial Moisturizer first because it's cheaper, the texture is lighter and there's no fragrance. However, check jugak the ingredients in case your skin tak sesuai. Jangan lupa patch test ye sebelum guna :)
