Lip & Co Review | Velvet Pout & Just Wing It

It has been awhile since I posted any makeup related reviews since I'm on my no-buy makeup hehe. Anyways, today I will be sharing about Lip & Co's Velvet Pout (lipstick) & Just Wing It (eyeliner) that I just got last week.

First if all, Lip & Co. is using natural skin-loving ingredients to benefit all types of complexion. Best of all: The products are vegetarian friendly! At Lip & Co. they strive to create "masstige" (a portmanteau of the words mass and prestige and has been described as "prestige for the masses.") products that are playful with hints of altruism. They formulate our products meticulously and are strictly cruelty-free. They infused most of products with natural skin-loving ingredients to benefit all types of complexion.

Sounds great, right? Currently, I am trying to only buy cruelty free products (although it is quite hard, but why not, right?) Kesian the bunnies :( :(

So anyways, my reviews!

Lip & Co. Velvet Pout lipstick review

Lip & Co. Velvet Pout lipstick offers 10 different shades of lipsticks. I got the shade 01 Audacious and 07 Grace. The shades to empower and inspire. The Audacious is like a dark blood red shade while Grace is like bright pink with cool undertone.

Based on the website, it claims that the formulation is lightweight, semi-matte and is buildable from a sheer to an intensely pigmented, velvety finish. The lipstick contains Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and Vitamin E which is a very luxurious formulation that glides effortlessly while moisturising and nourishing the lips. No more dry lips yay!

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a 3.5g black plastic tube. I like this kind of bullet lipstick because it's easier and less messier to apply. The bottom of the tube is transparent so we can see the shade of the lipstick. The packaging is quite sturdy.

Texture & finishing: The texture of the lipstick is quite creamy and glides easily without major patching on the lips. It's more like a satin-creamy finish.

Scent: The scent is like vanilla, vanilla cupcake to be precise which is sooooo sweet. I love the smell.

My personal experience:
  • This lipstick glides easily on my lips, so smooth, it is not patchy at all. I love the application!
  • It's quite pigmented, one layer is enough! The colour pay-off is quite good surprisingly.
  • It's lightweight and smooth, doesn't feel heavy on my lips
  • It's creamy, looks quite glossy and transferable. Definitely not kiss-proof.
  • Packaging is so nice. I love the black colour, looks so sleek.
  • Easy to remove, which makes it "mesra wudhuk"
  • Very hydrating. I don't need to use lipbalm and it won't makes my lips dry.

The introductory price for this lipstick is RM49.00. Just apply it directly on the lips or with a lip brush. Layer to your desired intensity.

Some of the makeup artist hacks (ehem), is to use this lipstick as a check color! Just dab the lipstick on the apples of the cheek and blend upwards. You can also use this lipstick to achieve a blurred sheer finish. Just apply your favourite lip balm first and using your clean ring finger ( as the applicator ), apply the desired colour on the centre of the lips out towards the lip line and distribute it evenly. Smack you lips together and you are ready to go! A quick and easy way to transform your lipstick to a modern sheer finish.

Lip & Co. Just Wing It eyeliner review

Packaging: The eyeliner comes in a 1.5g plastic black pencil.

I love the felt tip, it makes it easy for me to apply, even great for newbies because the tip is really easy to control and it is not stiff. It glides really easily and the colour pay off is really good. It's so black and intense with a slightly glossy look. The shade of this eyeliner is "Carbon Black".

Surprisingly, it is quite waterproof. I tried to remove it with only water but it still stay intact. It will not smudge easily and I just love the performance! Really long-lasting and great for beginners. I totally recommend this eyeliner.

The introductory price for this super good eyeliner is RM29.00 which is in my personal opinion, is so affordable and great value. To use this eyeliner, make sure to apply this on a clean, dry skin since the moisture and oil can affect the wear. Point the tip towards the inner corner of the eye and lay flat along the lash line. For a precise thin line, apply one coat using the point of the tip. To thicken, turn the pen to angle tip on the side and layer for desired thickness.
