The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Review

Been using this for a few months and dah nak habis dah. Baru nak buat review hahaha. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5.

So anyways, ni I copy paste from Deciem's website:

"Hyaluronic Acid (HA) can attract up to 1,000 times its weight in water. The molecular size of HA determines its depth of delivery in the skin. This formulation combines low-, medium- and high-molecular weight HA, as well as a next-generation HA crosspolymer at a combined concentration of 2% for multi-depth hydration. This system is supported with the addition of Vitamin B5 which also enhances surface hydration. A more advanced HA formulation with 15 forms of HA, including precursors of HA, is offered by our brand NIOD in Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex.

Note: Hyaluronic Acid is found in the skin naturally but its natural function within the skin is not hydration. Many products have used HA to claim hydration benefits, but HA is too large of a molecule to penetrate the skin and instead sits on the surface and can draw moisture out of the skin making the surface feel soft and hydrated temporarily, while making you feel like you need more HA after the product is rinsed. This formula uses three forms of HA with varying molecular weights, as well as an HA crosspolymer, to offer multi-depth hydration and visible plumping without drawing water out of the skin solely to improve temporary surface hydration."

This product is mainly for hydration. The ingredients:

The ingredients are okay, even for sensitive skin.

You can get this easily from instagram, just search the hashtag #theordinarymalaysia. Price range around RM50++.

The packaging is like the normal serum packaging, a glass bottle with a dropper. The size is 30ml which can lasts for around 3-4 months.

It has this clear thick texture which doesn't absorbs that quick tapi okay lah since it's a serum kan.

I have dry and dehydrated skin. So this hyaluronic acid should be good lah kan, provides hydration and attracts water. It plumps my skin, keeping my skin hydrated. Hyaluronic acid is also good to increase firmness and reduce pores. My dull, dry, dehydrated skin looks and feels a lot better after using this serum.

However, I don't really enjoy using this. Dia macam, okay la it works, tapi tak enjoyable. Macam ada mood swing la pulak. It works for my skin but  I think it's because of the texture. Lambat nak absorb and rasa nak pakai serum lain yang lagi fun sebab this is mainly for hydration je.

I normally use this serum, mix with niacinamide. Review here: The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Review

The way I use this, 1 drop of Hyaluronic Acid mix with 1 drop of Niacinamide. Apply after toner, before moisturizer/cream. I kinda like the combination sebab hyaluronic acid is for hydration, bagi kulit lagi lembap and supple with niacinamide boleh regulate sebum supaya tak ada lah kering sangat kulit, boleh minimize the appearance of pores and glowing-nessss. My fav combo.

I do miss this bila tak guna. I boleh rasa yang kulit I perlukan hyaluronic acid. Tapi kalau ada product lain yang I guna with hyaluronic acid (contohnya Hada Labo lotion), I jadi okay je, tak rindu pun. Amboi mentang mentang ada pengganti...

It's good product lah, a simple product, no fragrance, doesn't cause irritation, good even for sensitive skin. A well hydrated skin will makes your skin less oily lagi lagi kalau kulit yang jenis oily sangat tapi sebenarnya dia dehydrated. Bila dehydrated, kulit jadi berminyak, lepastu nanti mula lah breakout, naik jerawat etc. So basic dia, just make sure your skin is well hydrated. Salah satu cara, use products with hyaluronic acids. (Selain daripada minum air cukup, makan buah dan sayur, pakai sunscreen etc)

Overall
I like using this with niacinamide.

Who will like this?

That's all, thanks for reading!
